Tanimura & Peng Pediatric Dental Office

Dr. Tamara and Dr. Peng’s pediatric dental office in Antioch, CA is a beautiful blend of playful imagination and emotional comfort—designed to create a lasting impression on young patients. During early design conversations, Green Curve Studio jokingly proposed that children who visit this office might one day recall its sense of wonder during challenging times in adulthood. That lighthearted comment inspired a truly magical ceiling feature: abstract branches and leaves crafted from sculpted drywall, forming a canopy above the reception area. Above this canopy, slow-shifting LED lights simulate the peaceful glow of a starry night—merging Dr. Tamara’s love of nature with Dr. Peng’s passion for astronomy.

The result is a pediatric dental office that feels like a nurturing retreat. The calming, organic forms and celestial lighting invite patients to look up, slow down, and feel at ease. So much so, in fact, that when Green Curve’s team arrived to photograph the space, they had a hard time clearing the lobby—families simply didn’t want to leave. This project showcases how thoughtful pediatric dental office design in Antioch can offer not only function and flow, but also a sense of wonder and emotional grounding for the community it serves.
